Classic Exploration Yacht "Sacajawea"

NEW – CLASSIC EXPLORATION YACHT SACAJAWEA

The exploration ship Sacajawea was originally built by the Army Corp of Engineers in 1936. Launched in Seattle Washington, she was christened, „Robert Gray“ and built for surveying the Alaskan ocean floor which in 1936 was not yet a state and so it was important for US interests to demonstrate activity in the region. She went on to fight in WWII and later conducted important resource surveys both in Alaska and SF Bay.

In 2018, her current owners purchased her and began to transform the Sacajawea back into the beauty she is today, much resembling her 1936 look.
Her owners renamed her Sacajawea to honor a strong and adventurous female from a time period before the boat’s construction and with a tie to the Northwest. Sacajawea was a guide for the Lewis and Clark expedition and represents strength and courage.

Today her owners are proud to offer the ship for adventurous experiences that will celebrate her history and bring joy and a lifetime of memories for her discerning guests. Sacajawea’s owners are passionate about preserving this significant historic vessel and sharing her with her guests.

Charter Rates and Dates: SACAJAWEA can accommodate up to 10 guests in numerous cabins and is available for charter in Alaska and West Coast USA and Mexico this Summer for $70,000 per week plus all.

In the Autumn and Winter Sacajawea will head south towards California and can also be available for charters in West Coast Mexico.
