The Goeree 12.70 Pietje van Kan is designed by the well-known Dutch designer Olivier van Meer (see www.oliviervanmeer.com)on request of the present owners.
They wanted a bigger version of the Goeree, original a motorboat of 8.70 mtrs. but quite soon by former owners transferred in a motor-sailing version.
The boat is build in glass epoxy with a 25 mm foamcore (Core Cell), the hull by the vaccum method and the deck hand-layup. The boat was build on the yard of Van Veen Jachtbouw in Stellendam, Holland. She was launced in august 2009 and the rigged and finished in the winter of 2009/2010. In the spring of 2010 the owners started on a trip with brought them, after a farewell visit to their beloved English Eastcoast rivers, through the canals of Belgium and France, to the Med and finally to Greece. Due to growing age the owners have decided to sell the boat and settle in Greece. The Pietje van Kan is in a good condition and ready for new adventures.
