Sold Breedendam MTB 31 ``Aurelia``

The MTB is the product of a idea that the founder of Breedendam Yachts, Puk van Burkom.

Van Burkom drew inspiration from the Motor Torpedo Boat, which the British Marines initially put into operation. During WWII, the English needed a response to counter the mighty German fleet. And so it became, the British Motor Torpedo Boat. Stretching 15 to 30 meters long, reaching speeds of 30 to 50 knots (56 to 93 km/h), the MTB was extraordinarily fast and possessed outstanding maneuvering capability. Since the ship was constructed of wood, it could not be detected under radar. These Motor Topedo Boats, thus, allowed the English to catch the Germans off guard and cripple opponents without being noticed. Using the two to four torpedos on board, they attacked great battleships and other heavily armored warships.

Due to lack of time this beautiful yacht is now looking for a new owner.
