Robi Gripenberg describes himself as a 60-year-old youngster who loves to sail. Actually he has been sailing since 1964 ; on a variety of vessels such as an Optimist, Blixt Jolle, Snipe, Laser and eventually sailing as crew on a range of both cruising and racing ships. In the springs he normally skippers yachts to and from Denmark, Germany Sweden to and from Finland. This is definitely a man who is very passionate about sailing.

Robi joined Sea Independent Finland because of his devotion to sailing and his commitment to quality and working with only the very best.

Since 2002, Robi is also the official distributor for X-Yachts in Finland. From 2005 to 2008, he had been working with the Ferretti Group, selling Ferretti, Pershing and Mochi Craft Yachts in Finland, Sweden and the Baltic States. Furthermore, from 1997 to 2005 he was responsible for Brunswick Group brands such as Bayliner and Trophy fishing boats in Finland. Previously from 1996 to 2002, he had also been working as sales manager for the importers of Suzuki, Kawasaki, Arctic Cat snowmobiles, Derbi mopeds, Tohatsu and Yanmar engines.
