Viola Blu is custom built by the Malingri shipyard in Italy and conceived and engineered for bluewater ocean sailing.

She has had a single owner up to know and been maintained with professional care. The Moana 45 is an extremely strong yacht, with water lines similar to the Swan 47 of S&S, with all internal reinforcement manually laid up and laminated.

The Malingri family, who have built the Moana series of yachts especially for ocean sailing, are experienced sailors who have participated in two Whitbread Round the World Races, one Vendee Globe race, several Ostar solo races, and a tour of the world sailing with the family in 1978.

Viola Blu is rigged as a cutter, with the cutter stay also equipped with a furler for ease of handling. The area below deck is comfortable and has a teak veneer finishing. On the bow there is a big sail locker with a unique stainless steel working table, fully equipped. The yacht has an aft cabin with two large beds, a galley, swinging chart table, saloon with U-shaped sofa and a pilot bunk opposite, then a cabin with two beds, 2 toilets, and a vast front sail locker.
